What I purchased from Amazon - 2 Sets Lollipop Cake Maker Set for only $9.99

Step 1: Make the boxed cake in a 9x13 pan according to package ingredients and directions. Let cool for 10 - 15 minutes after baking.

Step 2:

Cut the brown edges of the cake off. Crumble the rest in a big mixing bowl using your hands.

Step 3:

Add half of the container of frosting and continue mixing.

Step 4:

Roll cake balls using a cookie scoop, something similar, or your hands. If you are using the cake pop molds then roll the cake mixture into balls and place them into the cake pop molds. If not you will want to use a cookie sheet to place the cake pops onto.

Step 5:

Melt a small cup (a handful of chocolate) in the microwave for 30 sec. Stir then add an additional 30 sec. *You do not want the chocolate to burn in the microwave so do not heat up for longer than a minute.

Step 6:

Dip the sticks into the melted mixture and insert halfway through the cake pop. Repeat that process for each of them. *If you are using the cake pop molds, place the top lid over cake pops before placing the cake pop sticks into molds.

Step 7:

Place in the freezer for an hour. Placing them in the freezer will help the cake pops stay together better.

Step 8:

Take out of the freezer. Then in the same small cup melt, a cup (small handful) of candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then heat again for another 30 seconds. *If you need help with the chocolate mix to be smoother add 1/4 teaspoon of vegetable oil. *You can also use food coloring to mix in and tint white candy melts.

Step 9:

Dip each cake pop straight down into melted chocolate only for a few seconds. Bring them out and twirl around to prevent any chocolate from drizzling off. Over a paper plate add sprinkles and set on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.

Step 10:

After the chocolate has hardened around the cake pops place them into clear plastic baggies and tie with ribbon or plastic ties. Then place in fridge or freezer to keep cool. The cake pops stay better if they are in a cool or chilled place.

Serve. Eat. Enjoy.

*For next time I plan on purchasing and using a clear acrylic cake pop stand. If you want to have prettier cake pops and have them displayed beautifully I would recommend spending the extra money to have one of these.
